730pm. o? go bac home at 730pm? it is too early isnt it? hahahhaha me and my bf had an early dinner and finished it at 730pm. but dont feel like going bac home, it is too early =P. So i suggested to go to hav some coffee or dessert. Hmmm, Publika Coffee Stain by Joseph den =)) since i haven tried their coffee, juz knew tat they can do very nice latte art and highly recommended by my frens.

If you are an amateur coffee drinker, Coffee Stain is a good place to go. I had a cup of Cappucinno as usual. The Cappuccino was smooth and creamy, but i prefer stronger taste for my coffee, so i will try to order double shot for the next visit ^^.  Yea, Coffee Stain not only serve coffee and dessert, they hav western food for brunch and dinner. I will come and try their food in some others day. =D =D they look yum in the pic on the menu. hehehehe

Hehehehehehe  =P a little bit little bit more about my CNY. something tat i would like to share with u guys.Every year, i m so looking forward to the big big family reunion dinner party with my mother's side on Chor 2. Coz i can meet up all my relatives in one time. heheheehhe

YEA!! and this year, up to 200ppls attended to the reunion dinner party. We started it from 4pm and ended around 11pm - 7-8hours!!! WOW!!!

Other than eat, we hav some activities and also played some fun 'games' during the gathering. Such as karaoke, dancing, creative fashion design, the fastest tangerine with pattern, shout loud loud etc (i believe most of u dont get wat i mean, anyway they r some games prepared by one of my aunt ^^ )

And of coz!!! there r some presents for the winner =D Guess wat!! me and my cousins (5 ppls in a group) won the first runner up for the fashion design game!! too bad i didnt take any photo coz i was having fun and my phone wasnt with me. ><!!

The Ming Room at BSC

Chinese New Year is over. (everyone knew it =P) But i insist to blog about my CNY. heheheheh. I believe everyone know 捞生 lou shang/yu sang right? It usually served as the appetizer due to its symbolism of "good luck" for the new year.

Somehow I love to eat yu sang XD perhaps i like peanut and sesame ^^ One of the most delicious yu sang i ever had was in The Ming Room. Chor 6, celebrated my bf's uncle's birthday at The Ming Room BSC. It was a surprise bday dinner. hahahaha. His son flied all the way bac from UK secretly. so sweet ya!! We hav around 50ppls attended to this bday dinner and also it was my first time visit to this restaurant.

 YU SANG 

Of coz, yu sang always the first dish to serve. hehehehe. i was so excited and cant wait for it. This yu sang served with deep fried soft shell crab instead of raw salmon. A word to describe it - yummy!!After Lou yu sang, some main courses served one by one . I can only tell u guys tat the quality of THE food at The Ming Room is 4/5 =D =D especially the Fo Tiao Qiang, prawn, fish and the abalone with tofu dishes. oppprsssy edi mentioned almost 70% of the food..hehehehehehe =P

Fo Tiao Qiang

Preparing Fo Tiao Qiang is difficult and time-consuming, for it brings together more than 10 ingredients. The Ming Room's chef did a good job!! Simply irresistible!

The Prawn Dish served in 3 different flavors

The presentation of the prawn dish is quite impressive and creative. Each tray represents different flavor, with the prawn served readily on a spoon. Thai style prawn - sourish yet appetizing. Prawn with Wasabi mayo - salad-liked prawn coz it served with rock melon. I think it is special and I like it so much. Salty deep fried prawn - prawn in salty sauce, personally feel it taste weird, nothing special but just salty.

Abalone with grilled tofu

For this dish, i like the tofu more than the abalone =P. Crispy outer crust of the tofu has elevates the dish. Meanwhile, the abalone is tender and could be cut easily with fork and knife. A good taste of abalone is very much depends on the gravy and the cooking skill, and I believe The Ming Room is surely capable of handling this dish.

Steamed Giant Grouper with soy sauce

Giant Grouper is considered as treasure due to the high demand and tight supply, its price tend to be higher than other fishes. The special thing about Giant Grouper is, it has thicker skin compare to others fish. And guess what?  I like to eat fish skin. hahahahaha. The fish is cooked perfectly by the chef, neither overcook nor undercook. The fish remains its freshness and tenderness. YUM =D

Roasted Suckling Pig with sticky rice

I can't comment much about this dish coz I don't like pork. So i didn't even try a bite on it. Basically, they are roasted on a spit at high temperature with some spices. I'm not quite sure about that. But, I think it tastes good coz everyone enjoyed and finished the dish except me.

Hasma dessert 

As tradition, it will always be a dessert a k a 糖水 at the end of the dinner. The dessert of that night was Hasma dessert. Nothing much to describe about it really. It served with several of ingredients as u can see in the pictures. 

Of course, there must be a cake in every birthday party! We have 2 cakes here! one is the chocolate Mille Crepe from Red Bean Bag and the other is the red velvet from a random aunty in PJ.=D =D I love the Mille Crepe so so so much!! I think I will start to visit to those cafe that serve Mille Crepe after this. =D

I enjoyed the night with my bf and his big family. Happy to meet those cousins. They are so friendly and fun. Hope to see them soon again. =D (maybe in the next family dinner party)

Jack The Giant Slater

Morning woke up early in the morning n feel like blogging. so, super duper short blog here about last night movie. Yea, my Saturday was awesome. It was simple yet happie Saturday. Watched movie with a bunch of frens at Village Mall after dinner with my bf. Jack the Giant Slater is a likable film with simple plot. im not going to describe too much and here is the trailer .hehehhehehe.coz today is Sunday!! Go go go =D =D go and watch it with ur family and frens. Hope u guys enjoy the movie and hav a good Sunday ya^^

Yohuuuuu! Saturday =D woke up late and was planning to hav a nice western brunch since it is a beautiful Saturday =D Brushed my tooth washed my face took a shower dressed up n light make up to start my day. I'm DONE. Ring ring ring (my bf's phone) ohnoooo bad news, he has to go to his mini food court a k a 63 kopitiam (family business) for help. Drrrrrr. We hav no choice to hav our brunch there. LOL

63 Kopitiam - Hakka lei cha ($4-5)

It was my first time eating here. I looked around to hunt for nice food. Wow, there r alots lots of choices. After 10 minutes, I decided to hav something light and healthy - hakka lei cha 客家擂茶 and two half-boiled egg. * Wink wink * Surprisingly!!! It was super yummy. It came with a big bowl of lei cha soup n extra extra assortment chopped vege!!! Guess wat, it only cost u $4-5. =D =D

*Tips-adding 2 half-boiled eggs is more delicious. Perhaps Im egg lover =P

Hakka lei cha noddle ($14.90)

The first time I had Hakka Lei cha was at ying ker Lou 迎客楼 at the garden. I ordered lei cha noodle instead of rice. After my first tried on it, no doubt, I'm addicted to it. =D =D I like the taste n of coz the peanuts & sesame enhanced the texture of it Crunchy crunchy yum. Beside tat, I also went to the other branch @ the curve to try out their lei cha. I ordered Lei cha in fried rice. Hmmm..it tastes normal =P U can choose brown rice if u want it more healthier. ying ker Lou has 4 outlets in some prominent shopping mall which is Sunway pyramid, the garden mv, Klang valley and the curve.

One Utama Old Wing - Porridge Time  

Sometime i m craving for some light and HOT food in the morning, is anyone same like me? Some hot food/soup/drinks like porridge/western soup - mushroom soup, potato and leek soup, pumpkin soup/chinese dessert soup - bean-curd barley soup, sweet wheat porridge/healthy drinks - cereal milk drinks, soya bean

So, yea we came to Porridge Time at One Utama old wing (LG113A). There are some restaurant and kiosks around Porridge Time such as, Hot & Roll, Yong Tau Foo Eat and Happy, Bisou Bake Shop, Crazy Potato, Ninja Joe, Moo Cow Frozen Yogurt, Ko Hyang Korean Country Delights etc.

Porridge Time

Porridge??!! maybe some of u think tat porridge is only for those who are feeling sick or who unable to shew well. hahahahha. But i m strongly disagree with it. I always hope to hav a big bowl of hot porridge especially in the winter time when i was studying oversea.

Porridge Time restaurant is small and no design for the interior. But they are always full house and busy during the break time. =D What so nice about it? Why people willing to Q up n wait for seat? Coz, not only the food there is yummy yet big portion with very reasonable price!!!! They serve piping hot porridge in claypot with ginger, spring onion and sesame oil. There are many 10 varieties of porridge. fish, seafood, pork, prawn, farm frog, chicken etc You can also order some side dishes to add into the porridge to make it more delicious - egg, century egg, salted egg, you tiao, seaweed, peanut etc Beside that, they hav dry noodle, claypot farm frog with kong pou style, fish cake, herbal braise chicken, steamed vege, tong sui etc.

*Tips - Free plain porridge if u order a claypot kong pou farm frog.

Fish Porridge ($7.50) and You Tiao ($1.40)

Normally i will order the fish porridge with extra century egg, ginger and spring onion on side. And my bf will go for the pork porridge without ginger and spring onion but add an egg to enhance the thickness of the porridge. I know tat porridge with extra egg is more yummy instead of century egg but im greedy to hav both. ><" century egg with ginger is yum. And You Tiao is always one of the good companion for porridge, they go well together =) Ohya, me and my bf never forget to add some pepper and sesame oil into the porridge too. (u can do it if u want to get the taste stronger)

*Tips - Seaweed prepare by myself when i go to Porridge Time. coz i love seaweed and the seaweed they serve is not enough for me. =P =P

I feel satisfy after it. Although it juz a very simple breakfast. And i remember the very fist time i visited to this restaurant was with my BFF during her break time. hahahahahaha. We were sharing a pot of seafood porridge =D Between, Porridge Time has 6 outlets, including One u outlet. The others are in ss2 mall, Setia City Mall, Sungai Besi, Southgate, Asian Avenue in Sunway Pyramid.

Ante Kitchen & Bar, Publika

Super duper late dinner a k a supper at Ante Kitchen with my bf last Saturday. I wanted to try this restaurant long time ago and FINALLY!! I got the chance to try their food, even though I always go Publika (like 3-4 times per week) LOL =P

Yea, reached Publika around 9pm. Was thinking to dine at Red Bean Bag or Ante Kitchen. After a short discussion with my bf, we chose Ante Kitchen since we have edi tried out 80% of the food at RBB. hehehehhehe. and YEA, we made the right decision =D =D

Ante Kitchen & Bar is located at Solaris Dutamas, facing out to the Jalan Dutamas 1. It is a mid-corner shop lot, same row with Papparich, in between of a mamak store and a steamboat restaurant. Ohya, there is a car parking entrance right beside it.=))

Simply like the interior design of Ante Kitchen & Bar - Contemporary European as the concept. Beside tat, I noticed there are some cute piggy found in this bistro as the decoration. 

 MENU

OHYA, they are famous in serving pork dishes. As u can see from the menu, most of the dishes are PORK - pork cutlet salad, crispy pork trotter salad, enoki bacon skewers, the hot dog, sweeet belly, up the ante pork burger, bbq pork sandwich, crispy pork knuckle, the hogger pork ribs, sausage-combi, angry piglets, shhh listen (pork ear) 

 Seafood Marinara ($38)

Honestly, I don't like pork. And, because I'm sharing the foods with my bf, so he has to order something other than PORK. =P SORRY,  hehehehehe *u can try their pork for the next visit ya or when i don't want to share the food with u. HOHOHOHO. so Yea, we had Seafood Marinara as our main dish. And also, broccoli cream soup and cod crab mash for the starters.

Cod Crab Mash ($18)

Cod Crab Mash is served in a hotpot. A combination of minced cod and crab meat, mixed in creamy mashed potatoes covered in cheese gratin. It is very cheesy and thick in flavor for me. Overall, it taste good, worth to try. the only let down is, i hardly find the cod fish in it.

Broccoli cream soup - a light but thick, tasty but healthy broccoli soup. i love broccoli, but i cant taste any of the broccoli in this soup. So, for those who r afraid to vege taste, juz be brave and order it ^^ haha

Wow!!BIG BIG prawn!!! i was so excited when the food is served. Coz my bf doesn't like prawn and mussel, so obviously i m the one who is going to have them. hehehehe =D Seafood Marina served with fresh river prawn, squid, green mussels and clams and some rocket. It is cooked in herbed tomato puree. My bf enjoyed the meal so much coz he say the noodle is rich of seafood flavor and combined well with the marinara sauce. U won't stop until it is finished once u have started eating it xD

Before leaving, we had a short talk with the chef. The chef recommend some foods to us, such as Wild Fungi Salad for the salad, The Hot dog, ***The Real Bacon Carbonara (MUST TRY!! - according to the chef, he STRONGLY RECOMMENDED it), Curry Cream Pasta (My bf is super curious about this dish),and also Up the Ante Pork Burger So, we ll definitely go back to try the others food for sure as we promised to the chef =P =P
